Shaw Trust secures contracts to deliver the government’s Pathways to Work programme in:
- Greater Manchester East & West
- Norfolk
- Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire
- Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire
- Hampshire and the Isle of Wight
Shaw Trust secures 17 additional contracts to deliver NDDP Job Broking. This news means we now deliver 43% of the New Deal contracts.
We establish a partnership with the Integracja Foundation in Poland. Integracja’s mission is to promote social integration of disabled people based on coexistence, cooperation and partnership in all areas of their lives.
2008
Shaw Trust launches its mental health campaign: ‘The last workplace taboo’. The campaign is a major drive to raise awareness of mental ill health in the workplace and support for employers who manage employees experiencing mental ill health. We launch a free web resource to help employers make a positive difference in their workplace.
We begin working with Motivation in Romania. Motivation provides services which cover a large range of needs for both children and adults with disabilities; from adaptive equipment for different types of motor disabilities to medical rehabilitation and independent life skills.
2009
Shaw Trust launches its Health & Wellbeing portfolio: a range of new services dedicated to healthy working lives. The portfolio offers resources to help employers to build diverse and inclusive workplaces, improve their employee’s wellbeing at work, reduce costs due to absence and ill health and improve business performance.
We win 17 Local Involvement Network (LINKs) contracts making us the largest provider of host support services in England. We have approximately 3,600 members.
In April, Shaw Trust merges with Employment Opportunities combining over 60 years of experience of working with disabled and disadvantaged people.
In September, we merge with Interwork, the largest specialist disability employment agency in South Australia. Our fi rst international merger agreement.
