Shaw Trust in partnership with Browsealoud present a joint information day on 'Accessibility in 2008'

You are invited to book your place in the first joint conference by two of the market leading companies in web accessibility. Covering a range of topical subjects we will hear from industry experts on why Web Accessibility is important and relevant and see at first hand a practical demonstration of User Testing. You will also have the opportunity to put your questions forward to our panel of accessibility experts.

Title: Implementing Web Accessibility Case Study: Grwp Gwalia

Bio: Andy Elliott is Head of Business Management for Grwp Gwalia with responsibility for a number of corporate communication functions and was the organisation's Senior Web Editor charged with delivering web accessibility across the Group's websites. 

Paul Quinn, Business Development Manager, Browsealoud 
 

Title: Making websites talk

Bio: Paul has worked in various sales and marketing positions for 6 years, 4 of which have been B2B roles in the IT sector. Responsible for Business Development of the Browsealoud product in the North of England, he has a LLB (Hons) Law Degree and a Masters of Marketing.

Antony Golding, Salford City Council                                                                              

Title: The Trials and Tribulations of Local Authority Web Accessibility

Bio: Antony Golding is principal web developer at Salford City Council with an aptitude for implementing sensible solutions in response to challenging customer requirements.  His background in ICT web  development encompasses site design and accessibility, usability and application integration utilising a broad skill set encompassing web standards, HTML, CSS, .NET and several other impressively sounding
acronyms.

Antony is Salford's 'accessibility champion' and is responsible for maintaining compliance for the numerous city council websites and applications. He also provides freelance design, development and accessibility services through Antony Golding Design (www.antonygolding.com).

Dan Sivak, Managing Director, CDSM Interactive Solutions Ltd.                                    

Title: Shaw Trust Web Accreditation, the national web accessibility service with a difference.

Bio: Dan is the founder of CDSM Interactive Solutions Ltd, a learning and technology company and commercial partner of the Shaw Trust. Dan has built his company's services around technology solutions that provide value and access to knowledge and learning. CDSM is one of the foremost accessibility technology agencies in the UK and proud to be a partner with Shaw Trust.
