Bath Half Marathon

It's not too early to start thinking about running in the Bath Half Marathon next year.  The course itself is fast and flat making it suitable for all abilities – for beginners whose key objective is to complete the course, to more regular long-distance event runners looking to beat their personal best time. It covers a two lap 13.1 mile (21.1km) traffic free course straddling both sides of the River Avon. The race starts and finishes in Great Pulteney Street, in the heart of the World Heritage City of Bath.

It's hard to image a more picturesque city in which to take on a challenge which will help us to change the lives of disabled and disadvantaged people across the UK.

The money you raise will benefit people like Claire who has physical and learning disabilities and visits our Salisbury Horticultural Project.  When we asked her what she likes about Shaw Trust she told us, "I love seeing the things that I've planted.  It makes me feel good, it makes me feel happy."  Unlike many charities every penny you raise in sponsorship will go directly to projects to enable people like Claire to feel the same sense of achievement you'll get from reaching the finish line.

If you move quickly you can snap up your own place at the race website (www.bathhalf.co.uk), raise what you can in sponsorship and you'll still get our support to ensure that the money you raise changes lives.  We also have 30 places in the race and we'll be asking people to who take those to pledge to raise £175 in sponsorship.
