Devon Works
Working with you on a one to one basis we will assist you in developing an action plan that will help you overcome your barriers to finding employment. Whilst you are registered on the project we will meet with you regularly to discuss your progress and ensure you're getting the right support you need to find work.The service is delivered locally and in partnership with St Loye's Foundation, it can be accessed on a part time basis enabling you to fit it around existing commitments such as childcare arrangements or carers responsibilities.
What support is available?
- Better off In Work Calculations to show how financially, you could benefit from being in work
- help to access affordable childcare facilities
- access to confidence and motivational courses such as GOALS training
- support with pre-employment and job search activities such as:
- help to fill out application forms
- effective interview techniques
- arranging work tasters/voluntary work
- writing an up-to-date CV.
- access job specific training courses
- advice on debt management
- continued In-work support.
Who is eligible?
The service is open to people who are unemployed and facing barriers to finding work.Where does Shaw Trust deliver this project?
