Equality and diversity
Shaw Trust is committed to advancing equality and diversity, both in our own oganisation and in others. We aim to create positive working environments which recognise and value difference. We use a number of initiatives to help us achieve this:- On-line diversity peer networks covering: Disability, Religion, Belief, Race, Gender, Sexual Orientation
- An Equality and Diversity Group comprising employees from across Shaw Trust
- Careers visits for Black & Minority Ethnic candidates under our Positive Action Scheme
- Guaranteed interviews for disabled candidates who meet all the essential criteria on the Person Specification
- An Equality & Diversity Policy (download below)
- Shaw Trust performs annual diversity audits of recruitment and service delivery to assess the effectiveness of its Diversity Management strategy for our workforce and service users
- Supplier diversity audits to ensure we do business with suppliers who meet our Equality & Diversity standards
- Mandatory Equality & diversity e-learning for all employees
- Code of Conduct for all employees, clients and people in partner organisations who we work with
- Support to manage disability and ill health in the workplace
