Family Focus

A Shaw Trust Adviser will work with you on a one-to-one basis to prepare you for work.  Family Focus is a flexible programme available around hours to accommodate childcare responsibilities for parents.

What support is available?

• Better off In Work Calculations to show how financially, you could benefit from being in work
• help to access affordable childcare facilities
• help to improve your basic skills
• access to confidence and motivational courses such as GOALS training
• support with pre-employment and job search activities such as:

1. help to fill out application forms
2. effective interview techniques
3. arranging work tasters/voluntary work
4. writing an up-to-date CV.

• access job specific training courses
• advice on self-employment
• continued In-work support.Who is eligible?

Family Focus is open to both male and female parents who are unemployed and want to work.
