flexible New Deal (fND) consortium

Led by Shaw Trust, the fND consortium is a dynamic group of leading third sector organisations with a proven track record in delivering employment services for disadvantaged people. We have joined forces to develop effective and innovative delivery proposals for the Government’s Flexible New Deal programme.

The broadest spectrum of expertise

The consortium members are committed to delivering return to work solutions which place customer needs firmly at the centre of service provision.
By combining knowledge, skills and experience, this influential body will strengthen the sector’s capability to compete successfully.

The consortium will work collaboratively on all aspects of the tender from service design and financial modelling, to service delivery and sub-contracting.

Proven success in employment service delivery

Consortium members come from a wide range of disciplines and ensure the broadest spectrum of expertise – collectively offering over 100 years’ experience in helping disadvantaged people find and stay in work.

From training and skills development, to personal development and
employer engagement, the consortium represents the combined knowledge of working with all the most disadvantaged client groups in the UK. Between us we have also successfully delivered most of the Government’s major employment programmes over the last 25 years.

Customer focus and understanding

Our combined expertise spans all forms of disadvantage, from disability issues
through ill health to social circumstance – and includes support for the widest range of client groups in moving from a benefit culture into work:

  • long-term unemployed
  • lone parents
  • BME
  • young people
  • ex-offenders
  • drug, alcohol and substance misuse
  • people experiencing mental ill health
  • people with learning difficulties

Strength through collaboration

The Consortium will be seeking to work in partnership with a range of other
local and national organisations to deliver Flexible New Deal – from specialist support provision, through to full sub-contracting arrangements.
