Great South Run
Sunday 24 October, 2010
Europe's leading 10 mile road race sees 21,000 runners taking on a fast, flat course through Southsea, Portsmouth.
Behind the crowds lining the streets you'll see Britain's naval heritage as you run, including HMS Victory. If you've never done it before it really is a memorable race.
Every penny raised by the 2010 Shaw Trust team will go to our horticultural project in Portsmouth which sees people with physical and mental disabilities working to regain their confidence and progress towards more independent lives. This will make a huge difference to the project which needs a new greenhouse and equipment to be able to help even more of the local people who need us.
Shaw Trust has charity places in the race, you do not need to pay a deposit but we do ask you to pledge to raise as much as you can in sponsorship. Call James on 01225 716358 or email james.byron@shaw-trust.org.uk to secure your place today.
Every runner will get a fundraising pack, Shaw Trust running vest and all the support they need.
