Helping people with disabilities get online
15 December 2011
Leonard Cheshire Disability has teamed up with Shaw Trust to work on a new project with the aim of getting more people with disabilities online. The project provides disabled people with an assessment that will advise them on what assistive technologies are currently available in the market. The adaptations most suited to their needs are recommended and then training in how to use them is provided.
The Project will provide specialist training to Volunteers in Assessments for Assisstive Technology in addition to core LCD taining for volunteers. If you would like to become a volunteer on the project email Nigel.Hayton@LCDisability.org for an application pack
