Interim Chief Executive appointed

Shaw Trust is pleased to announce that Chris Melvin will be acting as Interim Chief Executive of the organisation from Monday 10 October.

Chris’s previous role was as Chief Executive of Reed in Partnership and was responsible for the delivery of £100m business both nationally and internationally. During his time at Reed he led 1,500 employees to deliver welfare to work contracts across the UK, developed training and apprenticeship programmes for the Skills Funding Agency and founded PublicCo, a joint venture with the Centre for Economic and Social Inclusion.

John Briffitt, Chair of Trustees at Shaw Trust, said:

“Chris will focus on ensuring that the whole of Shaw Trust and our supply chain partners are fully supporting Work Choice and that our relationships with DWP and Government are enhanced.
