John - IT Technician

John is visually impaired. He came to Shaw Trust after a period of self employment, to develop his skills in computing and hopefully gain employment in his chosen area of work.

Shaw Trust worked with John to develop his IT skills and gave him help with job searches, finally arranging a six week work placement with Newham NHS Trust.

John is now employed by Newham Healthcare NHS Trust in their IT Department and has recently designed their Intranet.
