Louise is back at work after 23 years

Having trained as a physiotherapist, three years into my career I developed manic depressive psychosis. I subsequently lost my job and for 23 years I have been on Incapacity Benefit, but never lost the hope that someday I would work again.

Shaw Trust has helped me realize that dream. I am back at college studying computer technology and am working part-time. With support for the trust I am slowly increasing my hours of work and moving towards coming off benefits.
