Managing mental health

Shaw Trust believes everyone has a right to work and a valuable contribution to make. It's a common misperception that managing someone with a mental health condition is going to be complicated.

We believe it's actually about being a good line manager, looking beyond the stigma and supporting your employee to manage their job, while they manage their condition.

Free on-line resource for Managers

As part of our campaign to raise awareness of mental ill health and help you better support and manage your employees, we have launched a free web resource to help you make all the difference in your workplace.

Mental Health: The Last Workplace Taboo campaign

This web resource was developed as part of our Mental Health: The Last Workplace Taboo campaign. This included some eye opening research into how British Industry perceives mental health in the workplace, and what employers need in order to feel able to support and retain valued employees and recruit new ones.

Find out more about the research and our supporting partners from the links on the navigation bar.
