Our Choice

Supporting you to achieve your dreams

Our Choice is a project that helps people with a disability to become more independent.

If you live in the Neath Port Talbot area, are aged between 18 and 64 and have a physical and/or a sensory disability, Our Choice can help you.

Our Choice provides social and practical support that will:
  • Help you to access community venues
  • Boost your confidence and skills
  • Enable you to meet new people and minimise the effects of isolation
Using a process known as person-centred planning, we can help you to:
  • Identify your goals and ambitions – and how to achieve them
  • Plan for the future
  • Overcome any obstacles faced
The service operates at centres throughout the Neath Port Talbot area. Currently, the following venues are available:

Briton Ferry Community Centre
Ysbryd-Y-Mor Extra Care Home, Port Talbot
St. Mary's Church Hall, Port Talbot
Pontardawe – venue to be confirmed

New venues are also currently being identified.

Referrals are usually through your care manager (from Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council) but if you do not have a care manger, please contact us to see how we can help.

We are also looking for volunteers – if you are interested in finding out more about our volunteering opportunities, please get in touch.
