Payroll Service
Using your Direct Payments to employ someone to work for you as a personal assistant can be daunting so Shaw Trust offers a payroll service to make it easier for you.
We help by working with you to pay your personal assistant's wage bills and we take away the worry of calculating their tax and National Insurance.
We can:
- provide you with a payroll starter pack
- help you provide information to the Inland Revenue
- send you payslips so you can pay your personal assistant's wages
- liaise with the Inland Revenue and the finance department of your council (which pays you the Direct Payments)
- complete the forms you need to send to the Inland Revenue at the end of each year.
You will need to:
- make sure your personal assistant time sheets are completed and sent to Shaw Trust promptly
- let us know if your personal assistant(s) start or leaves their job with you
- pay all bills promptly (from your Direct Payments).
Managed Accounts (also known as third party payroll, holding or on-behalf-of accounts)
In some parts of the country Shaw Trust also offers managed accounts. This is where we provide financial control on your behalf .
This means:
- Direct Payments are received on your behalf
- invoices authorised by you are paid direct (for job advertisements etc.)
- you submit timesheets for your staff, we produce payslips and your staff wages are paid into their bank account
- we reconcile quarterly financial returns and send you a statement.
Managed accounts can help you to manage your budgets and reduce the amount of paperwork involved. This service is available from Shaw Trust in the following areas:
