Summary

Shaw Trust has recently been appointed to provide support services to a number of Local Involvement Networks (LINks), promoting and supporting the involvement of local people in the commissioning, provision and scrutiny of health care and social services.

About the role:

You will facilitate activities across the area, encouraging participation through regular outreach work and use of media. You will identify local social care needs through networking throughout the community and develop robust communication between government bodies, community organisations and other stakeholders.

About you:

You will be extremely well organised with the ability to persuade and influence at all levels. Whilst you will have a peer network of staff working in other LINks contracts, you will need to be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative to drive forward the work of the LINk in your district. Flexibility to undertake occasional evening and weekend work plus frequent travel is required.

Appointment subject to enhanced disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau.
