Sheer courage and determination to ignore her own suffering and focus
on helping others, won Suffolk grandmother Janice Roselynn her award.
One time carer Jan, 46, refused to give up helping others after she was
struck down with a mystery paralysis which left her with severe
mobility problems. In her role as Volunteer Support Worker at Shaw
Trust Soap Works, Jan overcomes her own disability to prove herself a
valuable member of the team who supports clients and colleagues alike.
"She is an example to all who want to achieve great things," said Shaw
Trust's Roberto Meneghello.
