The national employment charity, which helps disadvantaged and disabled people achieve work and independence, opens its 36th shop next door to the Tesco Extra store in Connaught Road, in one of the buildings that forms part of the store complex.
The move is the latest to boost links with the supermarket giant, which already has a national Service Level Agreement with the charity, resulting in hundreds of jobs for clients.
A grand opening ceremony, due to be performed at 10.30am by Shaw Trust's Retail Director Nick Mason, comes just weeks after the charity made history by opening its first store in another Tesco complex in Yeovil.
"Our stores are usually sited on the high street, but Tidworth and Yeovil's Tesco link means customers won't be able to miss us. it is an exciting move for us," says Shaw Trust's Head of Sales Tessa Lancaster.
Tessa says donations are key to the business and is urging Tidworth people to support their new shop, which will be helping to raise money and promote awareness of the trust's work seven days a week.
"It takes over 200,000 sacks of donations per year to stock our shops, so we constantly need donations of clothes, accessories, bric-a-brac, books, household linen etc," she explained, adding that volunteers were also needed to help run it.
You can take items, or offers of help to the shop, which will be open from 9-5.30pm on Saturdays and 10am-4pm on Sundays.
