The New Deal for Disabled People Job Broker programme was introduced in July 2001 to assist those people on Incapacity Benefit find or return to work. Shaw Trust operates 33% of the UK's Job Broking programmes.
Individuals wishing to work may find out details of a Job Broker in their area from the Job Centre or Benefit Agency. They may contact a Job Broker (such as Shaw Trust) directly to see if they can register onto the programme. Job Broking is a transitional programme designed to give individuals the support they need in order to progress to full unsupported employment.
How can you qualify?
If you are claiming Incapacity or Sickness Benefit and are unable to find or keep the job you want because of your ill health then you may be eligible.
