Imagine wanting to work and being able to work, but finding prejudice and misunderstanding at every turn. Imagine not having the income, the independence, the social life or the community life that work brings. Imagine being asked 'what do you do?', and having to say 'nothing' because no-one has ever believed you could achieve something with your life.
As the UK's largest voluntary sector provider of employment services for disabled people, our aim is to ensure that, of the one million disabled people in the UK who want to work, as many as possible receive the support they need.
Join the growing number of supporters that can see that Shaw Trust is making a difference to people's lives. Their generosity enables our work to thrive, so that we can help more disabled or disadvantaged people to find and keep jobs and overcome barriers to a more independent life.
Thousands of our service users have had their lives touched by this support. And this means that their families and communities have changed for the better too.
