Palmer Gardens Halloween Evening

21 October 2009

Palmer Gardens, the garden centre owned and managed by national employment charity, Shaw Trust is to hold its annual Halloween evening on Monday October 26 2009.

The evening, which opens at 6pm, is an annual event and has something for all the family

This year, there will be a late night shopping opportunity as well as an annual pumpkin weigh in and seasonal treats like pumpkin pie available to buy in the café. There will also be children’s face painting, apple bobbing and pumpkin carving.

The annual pumpkin weigh in has become something of a Palmer Gardens tradition and people are invited to bring their pumpkins to Palmer Gardens so that they can be entered into the competition by Sunday October 25th. The three heaviest pumpkins will win a prize.

Mark Bradbury, General Manager of the garden centre comments:

“The Halloween evening is now a tradition at Palmer Gardens and we hope to see as many people as possible through our doors. As well as activities outdoors there will also be some very special offers to be had in-store. It’s always a fun event and our staff always enjoy working on Halloween evening.”
