Run to the Beat
London's Music Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 26th September 2010 and it really is a running party through the streets of London.Sony Ericsson Run to the Beat is no ordinary running event as it will provide an exciting and interactive challenge for fitness enthusiasts in the UK and beyond by combining music and sport. Research shows that selecting the right tunes could improve individual performance by an amazing 20 per cent.
Starting from the O2 Arena the 13 mile course tours South East London including the iconic views of Greenwich Park. Music will be performed at strategic points around the course and what you hear has been scientifically selected to boost your performance with the correct number of beats per minute at that point on the course.
We'll be there to send you the all important luminous Shaw Trust race vest and support you to achieve whatever fundraising target you set yourself. By taking part in this unique event you'll also help change the lives of disabled and disadvantaged people across the UK.
Shaw Trust still has places available but the last date for entries is 31st August, we won't ask you to pay a deposit, just to do your best to raise £200 for the charity. For more information and to secure a Shaw Trust charity place call James on 01225 716358 or email james.byron@shaw-trust.org.uk.
