"Without Shaw Trust helping me to employ my own personal assistants, my mum would still be doing all my care. I wouldn't be going out; I would be stuck in looking at four walls. Since I employed my personal assistants my confidence has grown. I go out all the time - parties, college, work and cooking. I am now more in control of my life and make my own choices.  Direct Payments are excellent, I think everyone should have them."
Laura, end user
