National employment charity Shaw Trust has launched two new training programmes to support employers and staff in the North West. The free training is available to companies of any size in the Greater Merseyside and Lancashire areas, to develop the skills of staff and to benefit businesses in the current economic climate.
Training is tailored to a company’s specific needs and can include:
- Skills development – providing numeracy, literacy, IT, motivational and health and safety training to develop staff skills
- Mentoring training – helping organisations to manage, develop and retain staff
Teresa Lloyd, Shaw Trust’s Regional Manager for the North West explains, “Staff development is essential in today’s market and the additional benefits of these training programmes include improved motivation, performance and retention rates, alongside reduced stress-related absence.”
