Training for people with physical and learning disabilities
Shaw Trust in Thanet offers support and training for people with physical and learning disabilities. We can help you to gain confidence and realise what you can achieve through training and work opportunities.You can choose from a number of training programmes, such as:
- Computer courses including a basic word processing course
- Literacy and numeracy
- Art courses
- Life skills including confidence building and social skills
- Job searching and CV preparation
Accredited training is also available:
- Further computer courses are run in partnership with Canterbury College, from a basic introduction to a more advanced word processing course
- National Skills Profile training in English, Maths and IT
Moving on
We can support you to find voluntary or paid work by providing you with:- Work preparation skills
- Help with application forms and interviews
- Advice about talking to employers
- Support in a work placement
