Shaw Trust have teamed up with theJobCrowd so that you can help people to find the right job for them while also helping to support our vital work.
theJobCrowd is a new website which tells people what jobs are really like. They do this by providing totally anonymous job descriptions, written by the only person who knows what it’s really like to do your job: you. All it takes is 5 minutes of your time to fill out an anonymous real job description (which will be posted onto the website). Hearing the inside story on what your job really entails could help literally thousands of jobseekers to find a role that would be perfect for them and avoid the ones that wouldn't.
theJobCrowd can only achieve this by you giving your time and sharing your experiences in order to help others. For every job description that is published online, theJobCrowd will give £1 to Shaw Trust. Every pound will go directly to our Graduate Service, helping people with disabilities to overcome the barriers they face and fullfill their potential.
You'll be helping people like James, who Shaw Trust helped secure an an eight week internship with Ernst & Young. “I have been brought up to get on with things, and to see my Cerebral Palsy as an ability and use it as a strength, but it has been tough living away from home for the first time." he admits.
James is due to complete his degree course in 2011 and in August will start his graduate role in the London office of Ernst & Young, one of the Big Four accountancy firms.
Please click on the link to tell everyone what it's really like to do your job while helping Shaw Trust to support 700 people like James every year:
