Welsh language policy

Ar 23 Mai 2008 cymeradwywyd Cynllun Iaith Gymraeg Shaw Trust gan Fwrdd yr Iaith Gymraeg.

Rydym wedi cyflwyno'r cynllun oherwydd bod Shaw Trust yn deall pwysigrwydd rhoi'r cynnig i bobl ddefnyddio eu dewis iaith i gynnal eu busnes.

O ran cyfle cyfartal, mae cael polisi dwyieithog sy'n cwmpasu pobl Cymru yn cael ei gydnabod drwy'r wlad fel arfer busnes da hollbwysig. Rydym am wneud yn siŵr bod ein gwasanaethau ymhlith y gorau a'r mwyaf hygyrch yng Nghymru.

Bydd y datblygiad cyffrous hwn yn cynnwys:

  • dewisiadau Cymraeg ar gyfer defnyddwyr ffôn
  • dogfennaeth a llenyddiaeth Shaw Trust yn Gymraeg
  • dewis i gleientiaid weithio gyda'u hymgynghorydd yn Gymraeg.

Caiff y gwasanaethau dwyieithog eu cyflwyno rhwng 2008 a 2010.

Bydd canllawiau ar gael i staff ynglŷn â sut i gyflawni ymrwymiadau ein Cynllun Iaith Gymraeg. Bydd y rhain yn cynnwys:

  • cyfathrebu gyda siaradwyr Cymraeg
  • hunaniaeth gorfforaethol
  • deunyddiau wedi eu hargraffu, yn cynnwys hysbysebion, deunydd marchnata ac ati

Mae Shaw Trust wedi ymrwymo i gynhwysiant. Mae'r ymrwymiad yn gweithio tuag at wasanaeth dwyieithog llawn ar gyfer Ymddiriedolaeth Shaw yng Nghymru.

On 23 May 2008 the Shaw Trust Welsh Language Scheme was approved by the Welsh Language Board.

We have introduced the Scheme because Shaw Trust understands the importance of offering people the option of using their preferred language to carry out their business.

In terms of equal opportunities, having a bi-lingual policy that encompasses the people of Wales is recognised throughout the principality as being vital to good business practice. We want to ensure that our services are amongst the best and most accessible in Wales.

This exciting development will include:

  • welsh-speaking options for telephone users
  • Shaw Trust documentation and literature in the Welsh language
  • Option for clients to work with their adviser in the Welsh language.

Implementation for bi-lingual services will be introduced between 2008 and 2010.

Guidelines will be made available to staff on how to meet our Welsh Language Scheme commitments. These will include:

  • communicating with Welsh speakers
  • corporate identity
  • printed materials including advertisements, marketing etc.

Shaw Trust is committed to inclusion. This commitment includes working towards a fully bi-lingual service for Shaw Trust in Wales.
