Shaw Trust, Vision, Mission and Values
Our vision is for a society in which everyone has the opportunity for employment, inclusion and independence
Our mission is to deliver services for people at disadvantage so they can gain life and employability skills in order to live more independently, secure sustainable employment and actively contribute to family and community life.
We seek to educate and influence society to remove barriers and create opportunities for those at disadvantage. We also help to build supportive communities for a more inclusive society.
We’ve been working to do this for more than three decades and remain as passionate today about making society more inclusive as our founder Tim Papé was back in the early 1980s.
At Shaw Trust we believe that everyone has the right to inclusion and independence.
We support our clients to turn this right into a reality through our work and disability programmes. We also focus on health, justice and all areas of activity that promote individual inclusion and independence.
We do this by always working to our agreed values:
- To be people-centred.
- To act with integrity.
- To be innovative.
- To be best in class.
- To be accountable.
Our values guide and shape our employment, training and disability work. They help us to support clients with disabilities and health conditions, to work with offenders and to deliver government programmes that help to shape our society as a more inclusive place for all.
