Shaw Trust is a national employment, learning and skills charity that helps people to realise their ambitions and gain greater independence.

The charity recently moved its headquarters to Victoria Street in Bristol City Centre. Shaw Trust is committed to building a strong presence in the city and the charity shop is a clear signal that they intend to invest in the local community.

The new charity shop sells a range of clothing, household items and furniture, with all proceeds going back into Shaw Trust's charitable work. It offers one of the best opportunities in Bristol to find a great bargain. All the items have been donated for sale, and the shop is keen to receive more donations from the local area.

All Shaw Trust Charity Shops are staffed by a dedicated team of volunteers and staff. The new Bristol shop will also offer training and job opportunities to help boost the job prospects of people experiencing unemployment in the city.

The Right Honourable Lord Mayor of Bristol, Councillor Clare Campion-Smith, said:

"I am delighted that Shaw Trust has opened a new charity shop in Bristol. Volunteering is a great way to give something back to the local community and I welcome the fact that Shaw Trust offers such opportunities at their new charity shop.

Supporting people of all abilities and backgrounds into work is important and it is good news that Shaw Trust is committed to helping more local people to achieve greater independence."
