Shaw Trust launches new Leicester hub on ERSA Employability Day, Friday 29 June.
Shaw Trust is a major provider of employability services, helping our customers find work and progress in work and making a significant contribution to transforming many lives each year. These range from being the largest provider of Work and Health programme, self-employment support, in work progression and support for older workers.
Friday 29 June is ERSA’s third annual Employability Day. ERSA is the main membership body for the employability support sector which aims to increase understanding of the sector and the need for employability services.
During ERSA Employability Day there will be lots of activities going on across the organisation, with a key focus on our Leicester hub which has already been visited by the Chair of Institute of Employability Professionals, senior civil servants and in the summer, the Minister for Disability, Sarah Newton.
The Leicester hub will be formally launched on Friday 29 June, Employability Day, with invited guest including Mike Sandys, Director of Public Health at Leicestershire County Council. Local employers including Nandos, Veolia and Europcar will also be in attendance. We want to show what employment support at the front line looks like and the impact it is having on people’s lives and in the local area.
In Leicester we provide support for young people through careers and re-engagement support for Leicester council. If you’re around, why not visit the hub to see employment support in action!
