Welcome to Work First Scotland
Work First Scotland is a voluntary, Scottish Government supported programme for people who, due to their disability, may find it difficult to find or stay in work.
You can access Work First Scotland in a number of ways:
- you can get a referral from their Job Centre Plus (JCP) Employment Adviser or Disability Employment Adviser (DEA).
- You can also seek a referral from other organsitions. Download a list of statutory referral organisations (SRO) (PDF, 108 KB, opens/downloads in new tab or window).
- You can refer yourself by contacting Shaw Trust directly by calling 0300 30 33 111 or e-mailing email@example.com (opens in new window).
Those referred, or who refer themselves to the programme will work with one of our expert Employment Advisers. Advisers will provide all the practical guidance, training and support you need throughout your job search. And you won’t be on your own when you’re in work – we will continue to offer support.
