Get Back on Track

Get Back on Track is a FREE service designed to support individuals who are having problems at work that are affecting their health.
We understand that when you face problems at work, it can feel like you are on your own and the odds are stacked against you. Get Back on Track is designed to guide you through those times when you need help the most.

We can help with a variety of problems such as work-related stress, disputes in the workplace, formulating return to work plans, information on handling grievances, disciplinaries, appeals, settlements and managing mental health issues in difficult work environments.

  • We can provide information on employment law and HR issues in the workplace as well as health & wellbeing support
  • We can link you to other free services such as legal, housing, benefits and debt management
  • The service is totally confidential and gives you practical ideas for overcoming any work-related problems that are causing you to be unfit for work

Eligibility criteria

Be registered with an Islington GP
Signed-off from work with a ‘Fit Note’
Be in employment

What happens after you contact us?

We arrange a meeting for you with one of our Employment Retention Specialists

How do we support you?

  • Providing one-to-one support where we work with you to develop an action plan that is tailored to your specific needs
  • Support with writing letters to your employer, mediation and advocacy
  • Checking in with you regularly to review your progress

A partnership approach

The service will be delivered by Shaw Trust in partnership with Islington Council and Islington NHS CCG.
