Aim4Work

Specialist employability programme for people with common mental health conditions

Welcome to Aim4Work #aim4work

A FREE specialist employability programme for people with common mental health conditions living in South London,  North London and East London.

Big Lottery and ESF

Aim4Work is jointly funded by the Big Lottery and the European Social Fund (https://www.biglotteryfund.org.uk/esf (opens in new tab or window)) under the Building Better Opportunities programme and forms part of their commitment to invest in local projects to tackle the root causes of poverty, promote social inclusion and drive jobs and growth.

How does it work?

Once accepted onto the programme, one of our professional Aim4Work Employment Advisers will:

  1. Get to know you
  2. Draw up an action plan to get you into work
  3. Introduce you to interested employers
  4. Provide you with in-work support
  5. Be there with you every step of the way

Your action plan

Your action plan is tailored to your needs and will outline what you can do with support from Aim4Work to achieve your goal of getting back into work.

The plan may include support with CV creation and applying for benefits, discussion about disclosure of a mental health condition and creating a disclosure statement. Job searching tactics will form part of your action plan and you can explore interview techniques. If you need general support with self-confidence, a dedicated confidence course may also be incorporated into your Aim4Work plan. Wellbeing support is available, so you may find that you can include courses in yoga or fitness to help you prepare for the next step.

And support doesn’t end with a successful interview! Once you take up a new role, Aim4Work will continue to provide in-work support to help you along every step of the way.
