Sponsored by Shaw Trust, Shaw Education Trust is a multi-academy trust

Shaw Education Trust

Shaw Education Trust is a multi-academy trust, which leads and manages academies, sponsored by Shaw Trust. We are passionate that young people should have brighter futures and so we operate schools to help them get the best education possible. Please visit the Shaw Education Trust website (opens in new tab or window) to find out more about Shaw Education Trust’s work.

Shaw Education Trust has its own Chief Executive, leadership team and Board of Trustees. This team believes passionately that all children should have the opportunity to be successful, whatever their starting point. As such, Shaw Education Trust pledges an unswerving commitment to improve, accelerate and enable ambitious life goals for all young people in its academies.

Six educational establishments are currently members of Shaw Education Trust. These include five academies and one high school, all located in the Staffordshire area.

Shaw Trust invests in young people’s brighter futures through Shaw Education Trust and through individual projects. At Walton Hall Academy, for example, money raised by 2015 London Marathon runners was used to build a new, vibrant, interactive playground.

Walton Hall Academy is also the site of one of our horticulture social enterprises. The project produces bedding plants, herbaceous border plants, shrubs and a large quantity of hanging baskets for sale to businesses and the local community. It allows pupils to gain work experience, improves their employability in the horticultural sector and acts as a stepping stone to employment.
