Work and Health Programme

Building brighter futures

The Work and Health Programme

The Work and Health Programme is a Welfare to Work programme commissioned by the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP). It is designed to improve employment outcomes for people with health conditions or disabilities.

Shaw Trust and DWP

An individualised approach

The programme is different from other employment programmes because it recognises that everyone:
  • Is different
  • Has their own set of challenges
  • Has their own individual reasons for being out of work
  • Will have a different path to finding a job
It is not a “one-size” fits all approach.
That is why it works.
